The following announcement was made on Sunday, November 26th by Pastor Rob and Pastor Kyla on behalf of our Church Leadership Team.

Anyone who has been in our Sunday services lately will be aware that our church attendance is beginning to approach the capacity of our sanctuary. Your Church Leadership Team has been anticipating this situation, and over the past several months we have been in continual prayer and discussions.

Most recently we spent a day of prayer together to build our trust and intimacy with God, to intercede for our faith family, and to seek God's wisdom in this season of growth. The board has experienced a notable spirit of unity in its discussions, and this past week we have set in motion a strategy we trust will help to keep our faith family in step with the growth the Spirit is bringing our way.

We believe we are being presented with an invitation to expand our view of who we are - and to move gently, but surely, out of our comfort zone and into the calling we were designed for - to make Jesus known and, accordingly, to see His Kingdom grown.

The Board's deliberations lead us to believe that the best course ahead is for us to embark on an experiment with our weekly service. We are taking steps that will move our worship into a two service format for a six month trial period, as we pursue with deliberate steps to be a unified church, committed to inviting others to know Jesus.

We will have more details as our plans begin to take shape, but we needed to begin the conversation with you now. We understand that this is big news, but we also trust that God has been preparing us for this move both collectively and individually.

For now, we are seeking your input as we faithfully pursue God's leading. To that end, you will be receiving a survey through email for you to complete and help inform our plans. There will also be a link made available on the website, and we will also have some paper copies available for you beginning next Sunday.

We know that the church of Christ is much bigger than just a building or a single group of people – the church of Christ is the full body of Christ – and Christ alone is in control and leading us on. So join with us in this season of seeking His face. We believe He honours those who seek Him with His presence.

Please join us as we respond to God's challenge together.  We invite everyone to join together in a season of prayer, trusting, and unity.
