Two years ago the Church Board announced its strategic decision to begin working through the process of changing how we support missions as a church. It has involved many discussions, much prayer, and a graciousness and openness of heart to welcome something new.

Some new things are super fun and easy to welcome.  New cars.  New friends.  New toys.  Other new things present more of a challenge, and invite us to be grown closer to Jesus as we navigate the change.  Our hope as a Church Leadership Team is that we are all grown in our faith as we more fully engage in a focussed approach toward missions giving that is also aligned with our mission to make Jesus known.

As a church we will support and release ministry through a few select missions initiatives, believing that we can achieve more together than perhaps we could ever imagine.  And as a church we will continue to champion each of you to be on mission in your own sphere of influence, wherever the Spirit is leading you to make Jesus known.

As part of the Alliance family of churches, we want to have our story identified with the story of our amazing Alliance International Workers, taking Jesus to the Least Reached People Groups (LRPGs) of the world.  We will do this by committing support to the Global Advance Fund (GAF).

As a body, we will be found making Jesus known among us, as we team up with the great ministry opportunities through Camp Imadene, a place familiar to many here as their home away from home.

We want to be making Jesus known around us, and so we will be setting our sights on mission beyond our immediate surroundings, and partnering up with our New Venture friends, Cam & Candace Aitken, and the Esquimalt Community Youth.

Of course we are to be making Jesus known beyond us, and we have been active for many years doing so with Operation Christmas Child (OCC) and the shoebox program.  Our connection to this global mission is at a grassroots level, and we are excited to see God continue to build His Kingdom through such efforts.

We look forward to seeing how God will use these partnerships to both grow these ministries and to grow our hearts too! May God truly do something new among us all.
