Has God blessed you with a giftedness in worship arts? Are you a singer or musician that connects with our Creator primarily through music? Are you gifted with words and the authorship of poetic writings or the sharing of spoken word? Are you a visual artist whose works would form a powerful backdrop for musical worship or for a devotional? Do you love sharing stories about God working among us? Are you gifted in technology and interested in helping produce services?

If so, have you considered using your gifts to glorify God through ministry to your church family and community?

At Victoria Alliance Church we have a desire “to glorify God by becoming a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered church, making Jesus known - among us, around us, beyond us.” As we continue to walk through a challenging time of separation due to the COVID-19 pandemic, our patterns of ministry and methods of delivering the Gospel have been shifting. The importance of a digital component to our missional calling has become increasingly clear, and will likely be here to stay, at least for the foreseeable future.

To this end, VAC Worship Ministries is looking for submissions that will help to build our digital library of artistic worship offerings. These will be used to further our mission and the Gospel of Jesus Christ not only to our immediate Church Family, but also to those “around us and beyond us”.

Potential content could include:

  • an audio or video recording of yourself playing your favourite worship song
  • a written or audio recording of an original poetic work that glorifies God
  • images of your original visual art that could be used as a backdrop for a worship song
  • a short devotion or story
  • any other artistic offering
  • willingness or interest to help us put together services

The deadline for submissions is February 5, 2021.

If you are interested in contributing in any way, please contact Marcello at worship@victoriaalliance.ca for details about how to submit an offering or to discuss your idea.

P.S. If recording video is intimidating or you need help submitting we are here to help, just let us know.
