Dear Friends;

The Church Leadership Team embarked this summer on a process to help articulate a vision that reflects the hope for our church.  This journey has taken us through prayerful consideration, active dialogue, and informed debate. Through it all, unity in the Spirit has been palpable, and we have been encouraged. We are now able to present to you our best attempt to put into words an answer to a spiritual question that evades definition – What is it that we at Victoria Alliance are becoming?  This is how we state our vision:

Our desire is to glorify God by becoming a Christ-centered, Spirit-empowered church.

  A vision statement is only valuable if it makes it off the page and into the hearts and lives of people.  Part of that process will begin as we as a faith family engage with the words in such a manner as to consider their inspiration, their implications, and the instruction they offer.  As well, a vision statement is best accompanied by an equally compelling mission statement that attempts to answer what we as a church are to be doing.  To that end, the Church Leadership Team is looking to further inform some of our discussion by meeting with as many of our church community as possible in the weeks to come. Please consider joining in the engagement process at our upcoming Vision & Mission Viewpoint Meeting – to be held on Friday, October 23rd, 6:30pm.  This will be a great place to share your thoughts, offer feedback, and listen to what the Spirit is up to in our midst.  We look forward to seeing you there.

Yours in love and peace,
