Background

The Canadian Pacific District Office has asked all of its churches in BC to bring their bylaws into accordance with the District Model bylaws.  This move was initiated to ensure that all the churches have bylaws that conform to the new Provinicial regulations.  The Bylaw Committee, and the Church Board has been working for the past 18months to adapt the model bylaws to reflect our local flavour, identity, and values as well. The proposed bylaws below are a result of that work.

Bylaw Process

The Church Leadership Team and Pastoral Staff will be hosting two separate Drop-in discussions for our faith community.  These are your opportunity to raise any questions, offer input, and help to shape the final version of the bylaws for Victoria Alliance Church.  The public input from these sessions will help to then form the final version of the bylaws that will be brought to the AGM on March 31st, 2019 for final approval.

Please note: in order to get the most out of these sessions, the CLT recommends you take the time to read through the proposed bylaw document beforehand.  It is available for download below.
